Junkie Revolution

A band victim to Bohemian lifestyle, The Brian Jonestown Massacre is noted for their Shoegaze influence and creative edge. BJM offers a pastiche of 60s pyscadelic rock in combination with a unique 90s sound, contemporary blues, and satanic tambourine.

Fluent in over 80 instruments, Anton Newcombe (founder of BJM) is a truly bizarre individual nothing short of a musical genius. Leading a band which has cycled over 40 members in the past 19 years, Newcombe has remained the focal point of the band and spokesman for their revolution.

Hooked on music as much as drugs, BJM alternates between states of oblivion, self destruction, and pure ingenuity. Rarely finishing a show before an onstage intergroup feud, the band’s eccentricities have robbed them of the spotlight and always kept them just shy of success.

So cancel your plans this afternoon and get lost with Jonestown - - A band you’ll love to hate and hate to love - - enjoy.
